Well, there is no such thing as a “DTE frame”, only a DTE device, so not B.

I get A & C.

Asynchronous Balanced Mode (ABM) is a balanced configuration in which either station initialize, supervise, recover from errors, and send frames at any time. There is no master/slave relationship. The DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) and DCE (Data circuit-terminating equipment) are treated as equals.

Gorgon, yes, correct answer is b. We have a lot of customers with incorrect mask, proxy arp is only one option that allow it to work.

So “D” with the assumption of optimizing and rate limiting outbound traffic.

i thought it should be b) enable proxy arp on gateway

The answer is proxy arp, not a static route. Think of the scaling issue of dozens of static routes.
